This book provides a beautiful description of what typical child development looks like in relation to their caregiver. Throughout the book it refers to regulation, one of the ongoing targets of the programme. It also provides a good description of the occurrances of over stimulation in a mother-child interaction.
This book provides some practical suggestions of play ideas.
This book is a useful resource support to an RDI programme, it has many ideas and easy to follow activities in it. Activities alone will not constitute a programme it is what you are doing within these activities that counts so do not be misguided by using these activities, they still need careful thought and supervision (usually by a consultant).
This is a well written book with many practical examples of how to socially interact with a child on the spectrum. It uncovers small steps to the fondations of communication and developing language skills.
A truely fantastic book, very easy read. Provides practical examples and scenarios, encourages the reader to think about their own cases, as well as a new approach to dealing with those situations. This book is for any child who has difficulty with flexible thinking and a low frustration tolerance, not necessarily just for the 'explosive' child.
A brilliant book that explains how individuals develop through their relationships. This book provides an excellent and detailed explanation of co-regulation, a social dynamic process.
A very good read that explains the intersubjective relationship between parent - child interactions, master - apprentice and guided participation.
This book is packed full of useful activity ideas that are RDI friendly and work on sensory needs too. An excellent resource to inspire the mind and continuously refer to.
This book explains sensory integration dysfunction in great detail that is easy to understand. Referred to as the "bible for parents".
Brilliant, readable book for parents explaning many of the different parenting style approaches and how to offer your child the best development and use of their mind.
This book is a very good read, to help understand in more detail how we learn to think.
I recommend this book to those coming from a behavioural background, or who over use praise and rewards.
